Undertake in the Digital Age
I have a dream around an idea that often shocks a first timer : allowing humans to communicate seamlessly with machines.
In reality, this ambition can only be understood by reading our true ambition : understanding the world. A world who, in barely a century, saw its population grow from two to seven billions.
Before starting this post, I want to wish you and your family a belated very happy 2016. Over the years, I have become more aware of the importance of spending time with people you like with people you love. It’s my wish for all of us. Happy 2016!
Uberized! To Uberise is a new verb. Every company in the world is at risk of being uberised! But what does it mean?
Digital is in every executives’ conversation today. Can my business be Uberized? What can I do to bring more digital into my company? Could the answer be to appoint Mr or Mrs Digital or the new trend with Chief Digital Officer (CDO)? Having a project manager like this might be a good thing with a view to getting things done, but then, will it be enough?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is big these days, as I said in a previous post we can see the Cognitive Cloud as the next big disruption in IT and it’s coming fast! Android founder Andy Rubin recently explained that the “next major wave” of computing will come from AI.
Cloud computing is now part of our life. Everywhere and everyday: whether it be sharing the kids’ pictures or our latest powerpoint, we all rely on the cloud. iCloud and Dropbox are our new best friends! Like every innovation cloud computing will provide new capabilities everyday.
This month will be Beamap’s 4th anniversary. In the IT world, it’s like half a century in the car industry!
What’s happened so far?
So many things!
First, I want to say how proud I am of the team and now the “Beamaps” that have started up across Europe. I am impressed!
A digital World
We are all living in an increasingly digital world. There are more video views on Youtube than Google searches in a day, 3 billion people connected to the internet, 2 billion smartphones and 1.5 billion Facebook users. And growing!
A founder entrepreneur. Amazon is closely linked to its founder: Jeff Bezos. In 1994 he decided to create Amazon, an online book reselling company. The starting point was to be able to deliver to anyone all books you might want to buy.
In the new year post, I said I would publish articles on entrepreneurship, here is the first one.
After creating Beamap, which is now part of Soprasteria, lots of people came to me to ask what the best timing is to set up a company. It’s not an easy question.
